Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has been plagued with issues that concern voters. Her credibility, her health and her capacity to lead this country have been just a few of the more glaring ones. Then we have the matter of Clinton’s inability to relate to most Americans.
It’s a serious problem. For example, she was spotted on the campaign trail in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday in a pair of hand-stitched calfskin shoes by Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo — shoes that regularly cost $775.
As the Washington Free Beacon pointed out, these shoes cost more than the Average American earns in a week. According to data from the Census Bureau in 2013, Americans average a yearly income of $28,155, which breaks down to $586.56 weekly.

If you’ll recall, Clinton wore a $7,000 Giorgio Armani jacket while she gave her victory speech in New York last month. While on the campaign trail in June, the former secretary of state wore a $12,495 Giorgio Armani tweedjacket while speaking to the crowd about how so many Americans were hurting financially.
Clinton also makes appointments at the John Barrett hair salon, located inside the posh New York City Bergdorf Goodman department store to get her hair cut — those appointments costs about $600. Hair color is an extra $600, so Clinton could easily be spending $1,200 on her hair every six weeks or so.
By now, it should appear to everyone that Clinton believes she is not like everyone else — that she is somehow special. After all, she can get away with many things that the average American could face jail time for.
It’s a shameful and embarrassing. However, Clinton has spent her entire life misrepresenting herself. Perhaps she has told the lie that she is an “everyday American” long enough that she believes it.
Perhaps. But the rest of us don’t believe it. While Clinton’s health issues are a serious concern, we are reminded of one of her other sicknesses — hypocrisy, which is a characteristic most unfitting for the president of the United States.
