Employee Finds Burned Bible Verse In Dollywood After Gatlinburg Fire… Goosebumps
Gatlinburg Tennessee has been tragically hit with forest fires in the past week that have destroyed much of the area.
CNN reported that 7 people have lost their lives: “Authorities have yet to publicly identify the seven who died. The blazes scorched thousands of acres in the resort-heavy area, burning more than 700 buildings in Sevier County, including about 300 in Gatlinburg alone, and injuring at least 74 people, officials said.”
Amid the turmoil, a Dollywood employee who was cleaning up after the forest fires, found something inspiring and shared it on Facebook.
Isaac McCord found a page from the Bible that had been burned, under a bench in Dollywood. The scripture displayed gave Isaac “goosebumps”, he said.

The Verses from the page read as follows:
The day of the LORD is near, the day when destruction comes from the Almighty. How terrible that day will be!
To you, LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the pastures in the wilderness and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.
Even the beasts of the field pant for you because the water brooks are dried up,
and fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand
We are praying for those involved and will continue to support Gatlinburg in the future.
